Lewis Baltz - New Topographics

Luke & Amy's presentation was on Lewis Baltz, and featured heavily on his black & white new topographics work of Western American architecture and details of bland, mundane industrial buildings during the 1970s. I can take some inspiration from these works in terms of composition, how I look at the buildings or billboards that I'm photographing and consider how shooting low, eye level or even higher can change the visual perspective of my subject, by shooting from further left, right of just straight onto the subject also. His images always contains elements that are relevant, from left to right across the frame there are features that catch your eye and are interesting to look at.
